Keith Haney Racing showcased both promise and performance at the 2026 World Series of ProMod, putting in consistent laps with their new Black Widow Corvette.
The team arrived at the event optimistic and focused on dialing in the nitrous-powered Corvette. Throughout testing, they experimented with tires and other setups to find the car’s sweet spot.
Haney qualified with a 3.68-second pass but narrowly missed the main show. Rather than packing up, the team entered the wildcard shootout to gain additional laps and experience. Haney ran consistently throughout eliminations, posting high 3.6-second to low 3.7-second passes and picking up several round wins.
In round one, Haney faced Kurt Steding. On a hot race track, both drivers had to pedal, but Haney prevailed with a 4.207-second run at 187 mph to advance.
Round two paired Haney with the screw-blown Mustang of Nate Sayler. Off the line, Sayler jumped the light, allowing Haney to move on. He pedaled to a 4.119-second pass at 178 mph.
In the round of eight, Haney squared off against Luis De Leon. Both drivers left the line together, but De Leon’s turbocharged Camaro ultimately took the win.
Haney closed the weekend with a 3.740-second pass at 201.43 mph, demonstrating both the Corvette’s potential and the team’s continued progress.
The team will now turn their attention to the season opener for the Mid-West Drag Racing Series at Xtreme Raceway Park!
