Little Bobby Savedra III makes Drag Illustrated 30 Under 30!

I want to say how incredibly proud I am of you. This recognition is earned, not given. I may have opened the door, but you’re the one who proved you belong here. Keep climbing.

I want to thank Drag Illustrated , Wes Buck , and the entire staff, as well as everyone who voted for him. I also want to express my gratitude to Steve Cooks, who has been a true mentor—teaching this young man not only about the car, the trailer, and the motorhome, but also about life.

I’d also like to recognize Shane Goodnight, Dale Hancock, and Brandon Switzer for believing in him and sharing knowledge you can’t get in any classroom. Most people don’t know this, but Bobby works for me full-time—not only on the team, but also in my personal life—alongside his amazing fiancée, Lakin Shelton.

I also want to mention something that means a lot to me personally: Bobby and his family have become incredibly close to my kids as well. They’re a part of our extended family, and that bond means more than most people realize.

Most importantly, I want to thank the people who raised him: Robert Savedra and Shawna Boyle. You two should be incredibly proud. Thank you for allowing me to coach Jordan Savedra in football all the way through 7th grade—ultimately the reason Bobby and I met, after his dad reached out to me.

And I’m excited to share that Jordan Savedra is now working for KHR as well—and he’s only 19 years old.

I am truly blessed to have so many great people in my life.
