Keith Haney Racing wrapped up its second consecutive week of competition at US 131 Motorsports Park, advancing to the second round before bowing out.
US 131 Motorsports Park, recognized as Michigan’s fastest track, hosted the Summit Racing Equipment Mid-West Drag Racing Series presented by J&A Service LLC for its fifth stop of the 2025 season. A strong field of fifteen Pro Mods was on hand, delivering an exciting weekend of racing.
Haney qualified seventh with a 3.639, earning a first-round matchup against No. 10 qualifier Chris Juliano. In a tightly contested race, Haney secured the victory on a holeshot, running 3.681 at 207.18 mph against Juliano’s quicker 3.674.
In the second round, Haney faced off against No. 2 qualifier Jeff Rudolph, who had posted a 3.583 in qualifying. Despite a hard-fought run down the 660-foot strip, Haney came up short after running into mechanical problems, as Rudolph advanced with a 3.588. Had the issues not come about, Haney would have advanced due to a big reaction time advantage.
Next on the schedule for Keith Haney Racing is the sixth stop of the Mid-West Drag Racing Series at Flying H Drag Strip in Odessa, Missouri.
