Haney to Miss St. Louis MWPMS Event

TULSA, Okla. May 24 - Due to last-minute business demands, Keith Haney Racing (KHR) will not attend a scheduled event for the first time in nearly three years. KHR was planning to compete with the Frankenstein Engine Dynamics Mid-West Pro Mod Series (MWPMS) this weekend (May 25-26), at Gateway Motorsports Park, near St. Louis.

"Going back to when I was a PDRA regular and all through my drag radial days and now the Mid-West Pro Mod Series, I can't even remember the last time I canceled a trip to go racing. It has to be at least 20, maybe 30 races ago," stated KHR team principal and driver Keith Haney.

"Unfortunately, business demands cropped up that absolutely demand my attention this week. I know my competitors and sponsors understand that sometimes business just has to come first."

Haney also apologized to any fans who were hoping to see him and his car compete in St. Louis, but reminded them the MWPMS is returning Aug. 2-4, to the Gateway eighth mile.

"It's a shame because I'm leading in Radial vs. the World points right now, but I'll just have to make up for it later. Don't worry, though, I'll be back to draggin' their asses when we get to the next race.

"So I won't be in St. Louis, but the rest of my great Mid-West Pro Mod Series guys will be there, including David Cook, who will run the show just as he always does. This is strictly a Keith Haney Racing decision and doesn't affect anything with the Mid-West Pro Mod Series," added Haney, who also own and promotes the MWPMS.

Following this weekend's event, KHR will return to action with the Frankenstein Engine Dynamics Mid-West Pro Mod Series June 29-30, at Heartland Motorsports Park in Topeka, KS.
